WIN TICKETS to see CHROMEO, CYRSTAL CASTLES & BOYS NOIZE in CHICAGO!
It’s been a busy year for Pee Thug and Dave 1, the best friends who make up Chromeo. They released their recent electrofunk single “Night By Night”, a cover of The Eagles “I Can’t Tell You Why” and a 2009 DJ-Kicks compilation for the !K7 Records series. The DJ-Kicks mix (the first since Booka Shade’s 2007 compilation)   features a selection of tracks ranging from artists like Kano and The Alan Parsons Project to Lifelike. The compilation stays true to the 80s disco pop sound that helped influence the sexy retro style of their first two albums She’s Lost Control and Fancy Footwork. They’re currently on tour in support of the release and will be making their stop in Chicago this Friday night. Joining Chromeo on the bill are fellow Canadians Crystal Castles (who got their name from the 1980s She-Ra cartoon). Crystal Castles are producer Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass (who topped NME’s “2008 Cool List”). After a few of their lo-fi electro punk singles hit the music blog scene to much hype, Crystal Castles went on to release their 2008 self titled debut to positive reviews. The release was followed by heavy touring through the festival circuit as well as international headlining tours, and a high energy performance from Glass and crew at this summer’s Lollapalooza. Kicking off the night will be Boys Noize who’s currently touring in support of his new full-length album Power featuring his signature electrotech sound. If his recently aired BBC Essential Mix (packed with Classic House and Techno heavyhitters) is any indication of what to expect, he should have no problem getting the dance party started right. I really WANT to go see this show one of my favorite dj’s is in the set Boys noize!!! i had plans to be else where for friday but like always plans fell thru me and my brother heard of this event but last minute have no money to buy tickets spent it on costumes for a so called party which has been canceled hopefully i can get a pair for me and my bro to go!!! I knw its gonna a hell of a party!!

Please let me win these priceless tickets grew up on house/indie/dance/electro etc. I’m not just some clubhead with no plans for Friday. I just woke up after dreaming about this show! I am not joking!!! Pretty freakin crazy…I would love to be picked to go. These are some of my favorite bands. Coming from west virginia university to be in chicago for halloween. I could be partyin here at one of the biggest party schools in the nation but instead want to have a weekened of a life time. Would be great to go to this show

I’ve been through way too much stuff trying to get to Chicago to see this show, only to find out that my friend didn’t have the ticket he promised me anymore.
