Scott Kingsley Clark – Web Developer – WordPress – PODS Website ( Rip Off Report )Hello Everyone, I just wanted to share our unfortunately BAD experience working with a guy named Scott Kingsley Clark a WordPress / PHP / PODS / MySQL Developer and IT Consultant from Dallas/Fort Worth Area. I contacted Scott to see if he was avail to develop our new ExactEvents.com website. All and all he is a very nice guy, but NOT a good business man. He was very eager to get top dollar for his development work asking for a hourly fee of $100 per hour ( which is higher than average ) and he was nice enough to come down on the price. I soon accepted his agreement and paid all on time and in full per his agreement. Low and behold, a few months later my job was put on the back burner and was still not completed. And he told me he was setting me aside to work on a project for a guy that wasn’t paying him! Let me rephrase that, for a guy that wasn’t paying him for his work. Go figure! Now I know why he wasn’t paying him! haha! I assume it was for the same reasons. So my job was never completed and what was completed was thrown together and coded incorrectly and sloppy. The funny thing about this is he even fessed up to his bad job. You can see for yourself when you read the conversation we had over ichat ( which I took a screen shot of and its posted below ). I was expressing my feelings about the job he had done and asked him for a small refund of 35%. Which I though was completely fair. I planned to use the money to cover the costs of our new developer who is cleaning up Scott Clark’s mess and getting our site to work correctly. After reading this again, I had to laugh out loud as he says ” I have to talk this over with my fiancee “. Hahaaa.. geez, that alone says who the real boss is. I didn’t hire his Fiancee, I hired Scott. Next time maybe I will hire her instead if she is calling the shots. Long story short, he denied my refund request ( which was only 35% ) and said that he would have no problem fixing all the bugs for free. Now why in the heck would I want to let this guy do more work on my site after I just fired him? That doesn’t make ANY sense. So anyhow, I have already wasted enough of my time and money on Scott, I just wanted to share my experience with you. I would hate to see anyone else loose money and get half ass job.
